Pac Xon Deluxe has 50 stages, and each stage has the same map as a rectangular space. Your task in the game is to control Pac Xon with the special ability that the Pac Xon line passes through to form a closed area where the closed space becomes a wall. Pac's biggest obstacle is the monsters. If you hit them you will lose 1 life, when you lose your life you will fail on that stage. At the beginning of stage 1, you will be given 3 lives and this life can increase as you progress through the following stages.
