The story of Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels remains the same as in their original releases, with minor alterations. The plot revolves around the peaceful Mushroom Kingdom being invaded by the Koopa, a tribe of turtles known for their dark magic. They transformed the Mushroom People into various objects, including stones, bricks, and mushrooms. They also placed their own evil king on the throne. Only Princess Toadstool, the daughter of the Mushroom King, has the power to break the spell and return the kingdom to normal.
However, the King of the Koopas, aware of this prophecy, kidnapped Princess Toadstool and hid her in one of his castles. News of the Mushroom People's plight spread, reaching the ears of a humble plumber named Mario. Determined to rescue the Princess and free her subjects from King Koopa's tyranny, Mario embarks on a heroic quest. Will he be able to overcome the obstacles and become a true hero?
